new BHHS website created

A new website has recently been established by an ex-student from Class of 1979,
to document the history of our former school.

He is collecting content for the site, photos, document etc.

Class Get-together - 20th November 2010

We had another get-together last Saturday, at Brookie pub beer garden.
24 attended, all locals this time, from 1pm until closing time.

Newcomers to our get-togethers his time were Mark S, Dennis P, Kerryn B and Sharon R.

The afternoon was spent with drinks, old photos and discussions ranging from troubles with teenagers, lawn bowls, smoking in the girls toilets and the realization that the teachers knew that we smoked and of course Trevor's relocation to Wauchope.

BHHS 72-77 Get Together

Saturday, 20th November 2010

This November is 35 years since we finished Year 10 and 33 years since finishing Year 12.

Class Get-together - 26th June 2010

We started the morning with a handful of us visiting Northern Suburbs Crematorium, to visit some classmates no longer with us, we located and paid respects at the niches for Helen Siggers, Greg Jones and Greg Mitchell. There is still another four to locate their memorials.

Karen brought some flowers for each and we stopped at each niche and had some thoughts and exchanged a few funny stories about them.
Attendees were Karen N, Anna B, Chele T, Jenni F, Mary T, Steve B and Brady H.

Then we proceeded to Brookvale Pub to meet up with the rest of the gang at lunchtime
and it rolled on to about 6pm. We had about 18 attend this time.
The hot topic was who was still 49yo ? only a few left.

Now it is September, we have all rolled over to 50.

Class Get-together

Our next class Get-together is on 26th June at Brookie Pub again, starting at 1pm onwards.

We had our combined 50th birthday bash on 28th November, at the Brookie Pub,
we had 65 attend from our class, plus a couple fellows from other years at school stopped in as they were passing by. It start at 12 noon and went on after dark, with
several continuing on for dinner at Mimmo's Pizzas across the road, finishing up around 10pm.

Now up to about 60 people attending the 50th bash,
its $20/head for lunch, birthday cake & tea/coffee. Drinks separate.

More classmates being located, probably up over 100 now located, another 100 to go.

Getting the newsletter up and in full swing, planning a 6 monthly issues, to fit in between our 6 monthly get-togethers.
